To/From Dane County Regional Airport

Madison’s airport is a short 15-minute taxi ride from UW-Madison campus and our conference hotels. International travelers can usually reach Madison with just one U.S. connecting flight and itineraries to Madison can sometimes be more cost-effective than flying to Chicago and then taking the bus. Direct flights arrive in Madison from Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York Laguardia, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Tampa, and Washington D.C, (Reagan).

To/From Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Van Galder Coach USA offers bus service from O’Hare International Airport to UW-Madison campus. A roundtrip ticket bought online costs $71.60 (including taxes and fees). The trip takes approximately 3-3.5 hours and there may be a change of bus or driver in Rockford, IL or Janesville, WI. 

 

All buses depart O’Hare International Airport from the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF), a centralized airport transportation hub for regional bus services, Lot F economy parking, and rental cars. Upon arrival, follow signs for Airport Transit in your terminal and take the complimentary automated train to the last stop for regional bus services, Lot F economy, parking and rental cars. The Van Galder bus makes two stops in Madison; stay on the bus until the terminus in downtown/UW-Madison Campus at 250 N. Lake St., which is .3 miles from the Hampton Inn and .4 miles from the Graduate Hotel.

To/From Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

Badger Bus offers service from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport to UW-Madison campus. A roundtrip ticket bought online costs approximately $55.00 (including taxes and fees). The trip takes approximately 2-2.5 hours.

 

Badger Bus picks up & drops off outside of Baggage Claim Door #2. Exit to the left and you will see the crosswalk. Proceed to the next island and you will be at the bus stop for Badger Bus.
