This full-time, tenure-track faculty position will coordinate library instruction for undergraduate writing courses and develop programs that support the needs of Hispanic college students.
In addition to participating as a general reference librarian, the Undergraduate Success Librarian is responsible for providing reference and research consultation; developing and implementing instructional programs and materials; maintaining and building library collections; and planning and fostering outreach to the departments of Chicana/o Studies, Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies. As a faculty member, the Undergraduate Success Librarian will be expected to engage in professional growth activities and participate in the shared governance of San Diego State University by serving on library, campus-wide, and California State University committees as
needed.
This position is open at the Senior Assistant Librarian rank with a yearly salary range of $58,044-$65,000, commensurate with rank, experience, and qualifications. This position will remain open until filled. Reviews will begin immediately. Preference will be given to applications received by March 9, 2015. Anticipated start date is early summer 2015.
