This full-time, tenure-track faculty position, located in the Special Collections and University Archives division, manages and participates in all aspects of the library's archival operations, including collections related to San Diego State University's documentary heritage and collections reflecting local and regional history and culture.  In addition to responsibilities related to the library's analog and digital archival collections, the University Archivist provides primary resource research assistance and instruction, develops grants, maintains Archon, assists with exhibits, assists with the supervision of staff and other non-librarian personnel, and serves as the division's liaison to the Chicana/o Studies Archive Committee.  As a faculty member, the University Librarian is expected to engage in professional growth activities and participate in the shared governance of San Diego State University by serving on library, campus-wide, and California State University committees as needed.

This position is open at the Senior Assistant Librarian rank.   Salary commensurate with experience.  This position will remain open until filled.  Reviews will begin immediately.  Preference will be given to applications received by September 18, 2015.  Anticipated start date is January 2016.
